The SureFire WARCOMP-556-CTN Closed-Tine Flash Hider is a 1/2×28 threaded 5.56 NATO / .223 Remington muzzle device for AR-15, M4, M16, and other compatible 1/2×28 threaded rifle hosts. It combines closed-tine flash reduction, neutral porting for muzzle-rise control, and SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach suppressor adapter capability.

The closed-tine WARCOMP design gives shooters a profile similar to a traditional birdcage flash hider while reducing the snagging risk associated with open-tine designs. SureFire also uses neutral porting to help reduce muzzle rise for faster target tracking and follow-up shots.

SureFire SOCOM Suppressor Adapter: The WARCOMP-556-CTN serves as a mounting adapter for compatible SureFire SOCOM Series Fast-Attach suppressors. SureFire CNC-machines these adapters to help align the suppressor with the bore of the host weapon.

1/2×28 for 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington: This WARCOMP model uses 1/2×28 threads, the common thread pitch for many AR-15 barrels chambered in 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington. Always confirm actual barrel thread pitch, caliber, and bore clearance before installation.

Closed-Tine, Neutral-Port Design: The closed-tine profile helps reduce snagging in gear, vegetation, and field environments, while the neutral ports aid in recoil management without the same open-prong profile as traditional open-tine flash hiders.

Durable SureFire Construction: SureFire lists the WARCOMP-556-CTN as made from U.S. mill-certified, heat-treated stainless steel that is highly resistant to corrosion and gas/particle erosion. Wrench flats are machined into the adapter to support installation.

Installation Note: Proper installation is critical for suppressor alignment. Use the correct SureFire installation method, timing components, torque guidance, and alignment check. Do not use a crush washer with suppressor-compatible muzzle devices.
